England 2:0 Trinidad & Tobago

England showed their superiority in a 2-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago during their World Cup Group B game at Nuremberg, but they could and should have scored more.

Eriksson's men dominated the game from the start to finish, but they failed to show their ruthlessness in front of goal until eight minutes before the match ends.

Despite the poor finishing in most of the time today, it was Crouch to save England from embarrassment by a fabulous header in 82 minutes, won a aerial challenge, headed the far-post cross from David Beckham and put it in the net.

Gerrard put his name on the scoresheet with a 25 yards stuninng strike in the injury-time, fired the ball into the top corner.
