Christian Choir shines in schools music festival
基督徒詩班奪校際音樂節季軍

Prize-winning Christian Choir gains valuable stage experience in the music festival. 基督徒詩班喜獲獎項和寶貴的演出經驗。

The Christian Choir recently won the 3rd prize in the Senior Choir Open SATB class at the 59th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, organised by the Hong Kong Schools Music and Speech Association. By participating in the music festival, choir members not only augmented their stage experience but also spread message of Christianity through song. Amy Lee, External Vice-President of the Christian Choir, was greatly encouraged by the prize. She said, "Traditionally contestants perform on stage standing in a row, but this time we did something different. Our conductor suggested that we surround the judges when we sing, hoping that they would feel the power of the hymn more directly. To our surprise, the judges were so impressed that we were given 84 marks!" The Christian Choir is conducted by Mr. Esmond Lim of the Chaplin's Office and is composed of over 60 students from different departments. They share a common goal of delivering messages of Christianity through music.

基督徒詩班最近參加香港學校音樂及朗誦協會主辦的「第五十九屆香港校際音樂節」，喜獲高級公開組四部合唱季軍。 詩 班同學今次參賽不只為了累積演出經驗，更希望藉此宣揚基督教訊息。外務副詩班長李麗兒同學對獲獎感到喜出望外，她說：「一般參賽者多站在台上獻唱，但指揮 提議我們站到台下包圍著評判，讓他們可更直接感受詩歌的意義；結果評判給予我們不錯的評價，並獲得八十四分，真是令人鼓舞！」 基督徒詩班由校牧處的林思漢先生擔任指揮，成員包括六十多名來自不同學系的同學，他們藉著歌聲到處宣揚基督教的福音。 http://www.hkbu.edu.hk/~cpro/enews2007/20070402c.htm
